Brite today announced that they have completed a TSMC 90nm GPS baseband design for Xi’an Huaxun Microelectronics and achieved one-time silicon success. This design will add to HuaXun’s latest GPS product portfolio and has been thoroughly verified by the customer.

Brite Semiconductor is a fabless ASIC company, focuses on high-end design services and Turn-Key services below 90nm, as well as providing one package service from source codes or netlists to chips as finished products.

“Throughout the design process, we strictly followed every step of the design flow and the highest level of discipline is enforced”, said Thomas Xu, Sr. Director of ASIC Program and Engineering. “Therefore, Brite can deliver a final result that meets our customer’s very tight schedule and exact quality requirements.” Moreover, the design is ready for production just a few weeks after the prototype delivery.

“We feel it is the right choice to partner with Brite,” said Zongyu Li, HuaXun President “Brite’s on-time delivery and first pass reliability ensured the shorter time-to-market for us. ”

As a first corporation in China which owns the complete proprietary intellectual property rights of the high performance GPS chipset, Xi’an Huaxun owns core technologies in designing satellite positioning chipsets and IP (GPS, Galileo, and Beidou), OEM modules and GPS/Beidou solutions. All of the above facilitate China to fill the technological gap in the area of satellite positioning technology and its corresponding IC design capabilities.
