Shanghai, China - Excellicon Inc., an innovative provider of Timing Constraints Analysis and Debugging solutions for the automation of timing constraints authoring, compiling, management, completion, and validation announced acquisition of its products by Brite Semiconductor, which provides complex SOC and ASIC designs.
Excellicon products are well aligned to help Brite Semiconductor achieve objective of flexible, customer customizable, and cost effective design flow to shorten development of complex chips. The products will address the complexity of timing constraints development, validation, and management. Excellicon products are expected to help in speeding up timing closure process and eliminating countless iterations between design and implementation engineers increasing the efficiency of the semiconductor development and addressing the need for high quality products in shortest time to market window. Shaving timing off the development time without sacrificing quality has been the driving force behind acquisition of Excellicon products.
“We had been in search of a comprehensive solution for our constraints analysis and sign-off for many years. Our search resulted in many evaluations of old names in the constraints business as well as more generic solutions in the market place. We finally came across Excellicon last year where we found a solid foundation for building our timing closure methodology. Excellicon’s tools enable us to address the gaps in constraints development. ConMan enabled true RTLevel generation of constraints and seamless handoff to back-end engineering and final sign-off through ConCert. We were able to shorten timing closure by about 70%; a major improvement” said John Zhuang, VP of IP at Brite Semiconductor.
